A Study of a Cryptographic Technology
Objectives
To evaluate the potential security and privacy issues of new technologies, evaluate the severity of those issues and discuss how to address those security and privacy issues. These security reviews (projects) should reflect deeply on the technology that you are discussing, and should therefore be significantly detailed and presented in a way that allows a layman to grasp its fundamentals.
Guidelines
Week 1: Begin thinking of a cryptographic technology, its application in a specific environment, or an issue associated with its use. Use the Course Q & A Forum to ask questions and discuss your ideas about the project. Communicate with your professor for ideas. See the Week 1 Assignments section for the deliverables due from your work in Week 1.
Weeks 2–7: Follow the weekly Assignments page for a listing of the deliverables for each week. Communicate with your professor to discuss any concerns or questions.
The Course Project is due Week 7. See the Grading Rubric and Course Project Instructions sections below for additional information.
